Terence LLoren
Sound recordist/ Editor
Terence LLoren is the founder of Bivouac Recording. Originally from the USA he moved to Shanghai from New York City in 2006 and immediately fell in love with his new home. Having been trained as an Architect but with a passion for sound, he finally started doing sound full time in 2009 by establishing Bivouac Recording. Using Shanghai as his muse, he actively creates new field recording projects that record the life and the city. He sometimes uses unconventional recording techniques to recreate the listener’s experience and to convey the same emotions felt as when it was recorded.
Weina Li
Photographer
Weina Li was born in Shenyang, Liao Ning Province, and currently resides in Shanghai as a freelance photographer. An early childhood dream of being a TV presenter led her to undertake a media course in the UK and Ireland where she stayed for nine years before making her way back to China.
During her time studying media she accidently fell in love with photography and has ever since formed a deep connection with it. Her personal preference is documentary and portraiture and she has carried her camera around the streets of Europe observing the world with curiosity and capturing every memorable moment through the lens. Her return to China has changed her footprint in life but one thing that will never change is her passion for photography. Her lens will simply capture another curious and unforgettable place.
Linus Tang
Graphic Designer
Linus Tang was born and raised in Shanghai. He has lived in Shanghai for the past 20+ years and because he is in love with different aspects of life, he chose to be a freelancer. That way, he can change to whatever job, whenever he wants. To have fun and experience different things in life is important to him, so the thought of leaving Shanghai and living in another city has definitely crossed his mind. However, the decision to leave is not an easy one because there is too much in Shanghai that cannot be cut away from his life. After living in here for all these years, he understands the good and bad about Shanghai inside-out. But when a person completely combines himself with the city, and the feeling of living together, being together, and growing up together, this inevitably will make one forget all the bad and only retain the good essence of Shanghai.
